PRIVACY POLICY

Only the data needed to run your study account.

This policy explains what AEGIS receives, why it is used, which service providers process it, and the controls available to you.

Information collected

Account, study, billing, support, and technical data.

AEGIS receives the identity and email information supplied through its secure account sign-in provider to authenticate you and protect access. It stores study activity such as diagnostic results, checklist completion, saved misses, flashcard state, practice-set results, mock completion, and access entitlements.

When you purchase access, Stripe processes payment-card and billing details. AEGIS receives transaction identifiers, customer identifiers, price or plan, payment and subscription status, refunds, and dates needed to grant or remove access. AEGIS does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Support submissions contain the text and case details you choose to provide. Standard service logs may include request time, route, outcome, error details, browser or device characteristics, and security signals. Device storage may hold progress and preferences for fast resume and continuity.

How it is used

Data supports access, study continuity, safety, and service quality.

AEGIS uses information to authenticate accounts, deliver purchased access, save and restore progress, personalize study recommendations, operate support, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, process refunds, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.

AEGIS does not sell personal information or use payment information for unrelated advertising. De-identified or aggregated measures may be used to understand product performance and improve the service when those measures do not identify an individual.

Service providers

Specialized providers process data only to operate AEGIS.

OpenAI provides account sign-in, site hosting, and—when enabled—the API used by the support assistant. Stripe processes checkout, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, fraud signals, and the customer billing portal. Infrastructure providers may process encrypted traffic, logs, and stored records required to operate the service.

These providers receive only the data needed for their role and process it under their own security and privacy commitments. Payment and account interfaces may link to provider policies that also apply to their processing.

AI support

Support prompts may be processed to produce an answer.

Support messages may be handled by the guided AEGIS knowledge system and, when enabled, sent to OpenAI’s API with relevant product and policy context. The assistant can explain information and prepare a case summary; it cannot approve refunds, alter billing, or make certification decisions.

Do not submit passwords, authentication codes, payment-card data, government identification, medical information, recalled exam questions, or protected code-book text through support.

Retention and security

Records are retained for the service, safety, and legal need.

Study records are retained while the account remains active and as reasonably needed to provide continuity. Billing, fraud, tax, refund, and audit records may be retained longer when required for legitimate business or legal obligations. Support and technical logs are retained only as long as needed for case handling, security, reliability, and dispute resolution.

AEGIS uses access controls, secrets management, encrypted transport, server-side entitlement checks, and limited data collection. No system can guarantee absolute security; report a suspected account or privacy issue through Support promptly.

Your controls

Access, export, correction, cancellation, and deletion.

Use Account & Data to view, export, or permanently delete supported saved study progress. Use the Stripe customer portal to update billing information, view invoices, and cancel future subscription renewal. Contact Support for access, correction, deletion, privacy, or refund questions that cannot be completed through those tools.

Deletion requests may not erase records that must be kept for completed transactions, fraud prevention, dispute defense, tax, security, or other legal obligations. AEGIS is intended for adult and professional exam candidates and is not directed to children under 13.

Policy changes

Updates will remain visible here.

Material privacy changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If a change requires additional consent under applicable law, AEGIS will request it before the new processing begins. Privacy questions can be submitted through the Support section of AEGIS.
